Following the success of our Masterclasses with Tom Cunliffe we are introducing a chance to improve your knot tying and ropework. This will take place on Thursday, 1st July.
Des Pawson MBE is one of the world's leading authorities in knot tying and sailor's ropework. He is an historian and researcher on the subject, authoring a number of books and papers and running a successful business, Footrope Knots, with his wife.
Des is a great speaker and teacher. He will show you how to splice and tie knots, and explain their uses, both practically and decoratively. The day will be spent taking Morwenna for a day sail with Des available to, literally, show you the ropes.
Space will be limited for this special event and we recommend booking your place early. Our package includes waterproof outer clothing and all safety equipment, a packed lunch ( to be eaten as we sail), Des Pawson's skill and knowledge to draw upon, a fully qualified skipper and a truly unique sailing experience. You also get to keep your ropework at the end of the day.
